Our mission:

The James Gettys Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit, volunteer-based group whose membership includes school staff and the parents and guardians of James Gettys' students.  The mission of the PTO is:

1.  to support the students and teachers at James Gettys;

2.  to develop and fund educational and social activities not otherwise provided by  
     the Gettysburg Area School District;

3.  to encourage student and family involvement in the PTO and school activities;

4.  to promote a sense of unity within our school community by encouraging pride
     in our school and by actively seeking to involve our diverse population.

5.  to promote respect, cooperation and communication.
